KITTS CREEK COMMUNITY WATCH

Welcome to the Kitts Creek Community Watch website.  The purpose of the Kitts creek Community Watch program is to encourage all residents of Kitts Creek to be alert of their surroundings by becoming acquainted with each other and report suspicious activity.

The responsibilities of all Kitts Creek Homeowners (Block Members):

  • Make a commitment to report crime.  Report suspicious circumstances to police and notify your Block Captain.  Do not be afraid to call 911 if you see a crime in progress.  For non-emergency incidents, call 829-1911.
  • Keep a watchful eye for newspapers on front lawns and garage doors opened at dark.
  • Monitor drivers who speed and/or run stop signs.  You can request a radar trailer to be stationed on your block/street.  A radar trailer will collect statistics of drivers speeding.  To request Morrisville's "Radar Trailer Request Form," go to this weblink:  http://www.townofmorrisville.org/forms.aspx?FID=77
  • Utilize the resources provided by the Block Captain and the Program Coordinator.  For example, if you want the police to monitor your house while you are on vacation, you can fill out Morrisville's "Vacation Watch Form" at this weblink:  http://www.townofmorrisville.org/forms.aspx?FID=45

CERT:

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program helps train people to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their communities. When emergencies happen, CERT members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. CERT members can also help with non-emergency projects that help improve the safety of the community.
